Ecowijk Gantoise

Transforming a sports club into a sustainable residential area

This project, on the site of the previous AA Gent stadium and the Gantoise hockey and tennis club, promises to be one of the most sustainable eco-neighbourhoods in Flanders. The project would probably never have happened without Bopro’s continuous accompaniment of the process. That process draws on the Sustainable Development Goals, in order to involve all the stakeholders right from the start and find a solution for the relocation of Gantoise.

Besides a website, hooox put up very striking signs behind the goals of the current hockey pitch. Ecowijk also gained extra visibility at the MIPIM real estate event, where visitors could follow this development process on an interactive table which tested the players’ sustainability score.
